Kodi 16

    Kodi 16 is already in beta 4, and I assume it will be released sometime this month or the very beginning of next month.

    I have another Android box in my house (Nvidia Shield TV) and I would very much like both boxes to use KODI 16 so that they can both use a common MySQL server for the library.

    Any way we can know when will the fantastic Zidoo X6 Pro have a KODI 16 running?

    I enquired about Kodi 16 in another thread but haven't heard anything back.
    So I made my own Kodi 16 beta 2.
    Unfortunately after Kidi 16 b2 Kodi Team completely changed the video rendering in Kodi so a complete code rewrite from Zidoo is necessary for any Kodi after 16 b2.
    Just hope we don't have to wait months after official Kodi 16 is released to get a working Kodi 16.

    Also hope other skin support is added in new Zidoo Kodi as you can't use anything besides the default skin without getting a black screen sfter video playback.

    Hi:
    we have check the kodi 16, it change the codec flow,maybe will have server weeks to add rkcode and test it for work.

    I see Official Kodi now added pass-through support for all Android devices except Rockchip to Kodi Jarvis here http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=252852
    Will it perhaps be possible to change only pass-through code of Zidoo Kodi here https://github.com/zidootech/zidoo-kodi-15.2/commit/8674d0b18c36f3ff7fcdf857c14cdbe5b555258b to be more compatible with Official Kodi passthrough support here - https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/8632/files https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/8632 so it can still be merged into Official Kodi 16 instead of only Kodi 17, otherwise RK3368 devices will be one of the only Android devices to not have pass-through working out of the box with official Kodi.

    The RKCodec, 3D and other things can be improved and added later.

    I agree, Zidoo X6 Pro will have KODI 15 and all other boxes will have KODI 16.

    I have an Nvidia Shield TV and support for KODI 16 is not awesome with the passthrough testing which MIGHT merge into KODI 16.

    I am sure soon my Nvidia box will be just better than my Zidoo X6 Pro, and it's a shame for a box that was the pioneer.
