Question about Eversolo DMP-A6 - ROON , Tidal and Spotify . Roon works when Eversolo is connected thru wired connection. Tidal (connect) & Spotify (connect) will not connect or unable to detect Eversolo as audio output device . However ROON will not work if connected to WIFI and Tidal (connect) & Spotify (connect) is working and can detect audio output device . Built in Spotify and Tidal app on Eversolo is working though .
When Eversolo connected thru wired/lan connection - ROON is working , Tidal (connect) & Spotify (connect) when using mobile or other device will not detect the Eversolo device . However when Eversolo connected thru wireless/wifi connection Tidal (connect) & Spotify (connect) is working and now ROON will not work . Is it a device problem ? or just a setting ? My device can see device connected thru wifi/wired/lan connection .
Sounds strange to me, I use Tidal from within Roon over wifi without issue. So you have a priority conflict between Roon and Tidal/ Spotify Connect. Probably a setting but it’s not something I think I can help with. Good luck.
To me it looks like different IP-class on cable vs wi-fi, among the different devices involved in the chain: Eversolo, Laptop, phone, etc.
Make sure your WIFI and wired LAN are on the same network. If the WIFI line connected to your smartphone and the network connected to your Eversolos are not the same, you may have the problem you're talking about.
I tested my laptop on a same VLAN/SUBNET/SEGMENT or using Wired connection same as my EVERSOLO . Spootify can see it now for some unknown reason even if Eversolo is wired or wireless Tidal via Tidal Connect will not see the Eversolo as audio output weather the device i am using laptop- wired/wireless. ROON works when Eversolo is connected via LAN only . Wireless it will not see the EVERSOLO audio output. Built in Tidal and Spootify on Eversolo works . I don't consider this as a network issue since i can ping the ROON server , NAS , laptop , eversolo regardless if i am lan or wireless .
The fact that you can ping the services from the Eversolo only grants that it is connected to the internet; not that it is on the very same network as the phone/laptop/tablet. Some routers do assign a network class IPs of 10.0.1.x on wireless, while they do a 192.168.1.x on cable. The two networks DO have internet access, but are invisible one to the other... so that if your Eversolo is on 192.168.1.120 and your tablet on 10.0.1.120 they won't see each other.
