Do I need to shutdown the box first in the OS, or is it okay to just flip the power switch? Thank you!
yes, it is ok, and you should turn the switch off at the back after every update. it helps get the new fixes rolling and fixes most bugs brought on by updating firmware.
Thank you. I wasn’t sure if the OS needed to do anything to “shutdown” first, as I prefer to just flip the switch to shut it down.
If you're turning it off from the switch, make sure its not doing anything at the moment. That could really screw it up if it's doing something and you flick the switch.
