If I leave My Z9X 8K sit there for more than 10 - 15 min, It crashes to bootscreen

Like the title says it keeps crashing to the Zidoo boot screen when I'm not even doing anything.

 

Tried a factory reset? This is not normal.

 

I just received it 3 days ago, there should be no need for that.

 

I would try it anyway.

 

I have had the update since the day they released it. Not had an issue, then last night kept rebooting to the boot screen for me also.

 

I have had a few random reboots as well. It's happened when I press back twice to exit the currently playing file. I get no response followed by a reboot several several seconds later.

 

That happens to me as well. If my hard drive goes to sleep and I don't wait for it to wake up and press any button, it crashes.

 

Hello since the last update my zidoo z9x 8k restarts by itself also it does it to me 4 times the image freezes and the player restarts I did not have that before I reset the zidoo I hope not to have that anymore I am happy not to be the only one

 

More people having this it seems to be a nasty FW problem to be solved. Thanks' to all for reporting.

 

Hello to me, the same thing happened to me but it is blocked on the home screen and there is no way to do anything I have already paid for it by turning off the power and pressing the Reset button but nothing is blocked on the home screen.

 

Since last 3 days device is getting rebooted every few Mins. Screen is not responsive to remote. Device shuts itselff off and keeps rebooting.

 

Have you done a factory reset? It may be a faulty device. Return for refund or replacement.

 

Hard Reset from the device itself seems to worked. I am able to use the device now.

 

I had to do the same thing. Also, I turned off power completely (from switch on back of unit" and left it for about 20 minutes. Did it twice, as the first time was not effective, but the second time seems to have worked.
