Recently bought the Z9S player. Came with FW 2.2.82, but upgraded recently to 2.2.96 The player will not connect to Windows 10 SMB share drive unless SMBv1 is enabled. I do not wish to enable this feature, so is there a way for the player to use SMBv2 or SMBv3? I have followed the guides already and have configured the share folder for access from other devices just fine without relying on SMBv1. Connecting a powered external USB 3.0 storage device disconnects/reconnects randomly. Is this solved by moving to the latest FW version? The USB 2.0 ports do work in the meantime. Thanks.
i remember i had some problem with my wdtv connecting to my pc after i upgraded to win7 some years ago. after googling a bit, i found a solution (changes on win7) but unfortunately i forgot what i did exactly. how do you set/find out smb ver anyway? i can check on mine if it helps. re usb, usb 2 provides more than enough bandwidth for uhd, i wouldnt lose any sleep over it.
