I have very little networking experience. My z9x is my my theater with a 14 TB WD external HD. I have it connected to a powerline adapter via ethernet, then in my office i have my pc connected to powerline adapter via ethernet. I went into the settings on the z9x and selected Ethernet but i can not figure out how to get me PC to see the z9x. I assume i need to take the IP address that my z9x gives me, and i have entered that in my PC for Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4). But i am not see the z9x on the network. Is there a guide that could help?
go to Zidoo and enable SAMBA Server. You can set access user name n password if you wish. Then on your PC, go into Explorer under Network. ZD_Samba or similar name will appear under there with the Zidoo shared.
