Can some tell me how to config this unit to play acc 5.1 i have pass through working fine for Dolby etc but cannot find info as per zmdc setup for acc..many thanks in advance
are you talking about ac3 or aac? there is no such thing as acc. Ac3 works, aac on the other hand doesn't work for pass through.
In ZDMC, set channels to 2.0, enable passthrough and enable transcoding to AC3. I have done the same using HDMI to AVR.
when you do that will the AAC 5.1 audio be transcoded to AC3 which is dolby 5.1 ? but how can we check if AAC 5.1 is not passing through ? and if AAC 5.1 is actually not passing through then in what format its getting converted from zidoo player and sent to AVR ?
When? In the settings. I said set 2.0 channels, enable passthrough and the then enable transcoding. The AAC5.1 is transcoded to AC3. In my amplifier, AAC5.1 comes as AC3 5.1 from what I can see on the front panel.
