Hi Super noob and need help. I do like music but im not an audiophile at all. I was someone who is happy with nice bt portable speaker. I was gifted old set of speaker from my brother as a housewarming gift. Current setup Krell kav-150 B&w 805 And he lend me mytek brooklyn bridge as streaming dac/preamp Everything works fine but i had to return the mytek amd got myself bmp-a6 today! Its a very simple setup that i connect a6 with xlr cable and wifi just like with previous mytek. Now the sound doesnt come out. I had volume to -10db until i can hear that it connect and produce some noise. What did i do wrong? I already update to the latest firmware. Ps: the play graphic seems normal. The meter seems to be moving. Just no sound. Thank you
So you have selected XLR for your Analog output source, joint RCA/XLR output choice also OK and the volume passthrough setting is OFF with some reasonable volume setting say -10 dB ? You should have reasonable volume but remember the A6 will just attenuate output, there is no preamplifier gain in the device. Your earlier mytek device did it have actual gain in its preamp output ?
