HDMI recording from HDMI HDCP Source possible?

    Hi to all.

    I want to buy X9 to record via HDMI from my Cable box which have HDCP on HDMI output.

    Can i to record it?

    I suggest you do a web search on this topic. There may be two ways to remove HDCP, go through a component video to HDMI converter, or find an HDMI splitter that removes the HDCP part of the signal, not all work.

    Under the condition that the laws of the country authorise the copy for private use, the reording is technically possible. Up to recent days, I used a 3DFury converter as HDCP filters digital inputs and not analogic ones. This is expensive and the solution of a splitter is more simple and cheap. However not all the splitters are efficient, depending on the version of HDCP. To avoid this last issue, I installed a splitter the firmware of which can be upgraded, this from the same manufacturer, and it works perfectly.
