how should I set up my x9s to watch tv in hdmi-in socket

 

Anything that has an HDMI output, like Cablebox, Satellite box etc.

No. your TV does not connect to the HDMI In. What is your source going into the TV when watching TV normally with the Zido not connected?

coaxial cable ? there is no way you can use coaxial with HDMI. your best bet is this : http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/porting-usb-dvb-dongle-on-x9s.3263/ if you really want TV on x9s.

unless your TVbox ( if you have one) does not have HDMI out. you are out of luck

 

AS HaoSs said this will not work with a coaxial cable. Do you have a computer/laptop that has a HDMI connection?
You can use that to the HDMI-IN and then record whatever you can play on the computer.
Just a suggestion.
