    Hi guys,

My X10 arrives in a few days and I've a new 6TB Toshiba SATA drive to install.
Can I format this once installed as internal storage, or do I have to do it externally with a SATA to USB cable?
I'll be formatting it as a GPT NTFS drive.

    Many thanks

    Gazza

i don't recommend HDD formatted as internal storage, seems a bad idea, format it GPT NTFS with a PC if you can

I thought so, that's what I'll do. I'm using a Mac Mini with Paragon NTFS, that'll allow me to format the drive.
I just need to get a cable!

    Thanks HaoSs!

I have one question for you. I've seen there is an advanced option (by the way, it's still untranslated) under Android Developer Settings called 'Format Disk On Error'. Would this function format an unformatted disk? Do you know something about this advanced function?

I won't do that spring, I've actually formatted it tonight and I'm copying about 3TB of my data to it as I type this. The X10 should arrive on Monday!
