I could not be happier with the quality of the "HDMI in" recorded video by the x9. This was a live theatrical recording of a Youth play "Snow White". I used 2 cameras, Sony AX100 and a5100 live switched with a cerevo Livewedge and the 1080p out from the Livewedge to the Hdmi In on the x9, recorded on a class 6 sd card in a usb3 reader and using FHD TS as the settings. The 1 hour 30 min production used only 5gb of space. Usually people buy a DVD version so when this ts video was transcoded for DVD I was astounded at the high quality. Seriously viewing it on a 39" 4K screen it was at least as good as HD even though the dvd is only 720x480. Amazingly high quality.
