When you power the unit down is it in a stand by mode? Is it best to do that or just leave it on? Thanks
It's always good to put something on stand-by when you don't use it, if not something else, just your pockets... The best would be to switch it off, but sometimes this is too much, as some devices need time to boot-up, so...

No, I think that if you select a power down from any menu, it would power off, not go to stand by. But you can always check by yourself... If it wakes up in a couple of seconds was stand-by, otherwise power-off.
