Just got the DMP-A8 a couple of days ago and still getting familiar with everything. I know on the A8 touch screen the VU meter can be displayed by pressing the icon on the track playing screen. In the iOS app I don't see that functionality, unless I'm missing the proper screen to access it? I looked in settings and the Now Playing screen. I don't have access to the app at the moment, just based off memory. [update]: I found the VU toggle in the Now Playing screen of the app. Tiny and can get washed out with the background colours. But I’m happy it’s there.

Meters are usually only available in CAST mode of the app, you access it just as you would from the front panel of the A8 I presume.
