Ethernet Problem

I can't get my Zidoo x6 pro box to work with an ethernet cable.
when i turn wifi off and ethernet on and plug in an rj45 cable to my router the I.P address, netmask, gateway and dns 1&2 settings all flicker between 0.0.0.0 and my router settings as if it can't lock on!!! Has anybody else had these issues or could shed some light on the problem.....i'm starting to lose the will to live!! Cheers!
ps. I am on android version 5.1.1 and software version v1.0.39.

 

plug&play worked with my router. try other router port ?

 

DHCP on router set on?

 

Try cleaning your cable end connectors and ports, e.g. http://www.pcworld.com/article/170556/clean_clogged_port.html

 

Thanks Guy's, did all the above...and bought a brand new cat 6 network cable..... and it seems to be working Not sure which one of those things sorted it or a combination of all 4, but finally... it's working!!

I've got same problem works on wifi but not on Ethernet, I followed this conversation did everything. Except my readings are zeros across the board
