EDIT: SOLVED! Z9X Pro Crashed Playing Dolby Video. Now I Get Black Screen After Boot Logo.

Tried pushing different buttons but no response

What's weird is that my projector STILL reports a Dolby Video signal coming from the Z9X Pro when I connect it, even though the Z9X Pro shouldn't be displaying a Dolby Video signal anymore as the SSD containing the Dolby Video file has been disconnected from the Z9X Pro ... it's like it is stuck in that mode or something.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this? I love this player but this is kinda frustrating ...

EDIT: SOLVED!

I connected my Zidoo player to a different monitor, and the Zidoo menu showed up just fine. I then reconnected it to my projector and the main menu was also visible again.

I think as has happened before that it was stuck in the wrong 1080p resolution instead of my projector's default 2160p. I don't know why connecting it to a different 2160p display would fix this issue, but it did.

 

Or, you could have done the same thing yourself with the remote by toggling the resolution button and waiting a few seconds between presses until your display came back again....

 

"Could have," did you say? That is incorrect. I did try pushing the resolution button. Multiple times. No response from the Zidoo. In its frozen state, none of the buttons worked--not even the power button. To turn it off I had to pull the power cord.
