I do really enjoy the x10 and home theater 2.0. Does anybody know exactly what communications and which data locations are used by the zidoo x10 ? : There seems to be no home calling feature of the device (ie activation) : - I could use my new X10 out of the box without any initial internet access - Once hooked, I haven't notice any network activity in my firewall log which would tell otherwise. What i still try to find out is which servers exactly are used for scraping (I understand imdb is on of them but there must be others?) The data (results of the scraping) is copied locally to the device (or to the special location if specified in the Home Theater 2.0 settings). Are these results also mirrored somewhere else, is the posterwall of my device saved on another server ? I find no real information on that topic. For other players it's more transparent : zappiti, dvdfab DMS are clearly cloud based, Egreat doesn't communicate on this topic but as it's posterwall is based on the dvdfab vidon posterwall I assume it has to be cloud based.
