If I copy 3+ or so total GB of data, explorer slows and eventually fails. copy one movie of 1GB = OK copy next movie of about the same size = OK copy 3rd movie of about the same size = fails I can reproduce this every time. If it matters, I am copying from SMB network to external SATA HDD
so. HDD connected to x9s. x9s connects to a samba share. and you wan't to copy from samba to hdd ? HDD is formated NTFS/GPT?
copy works, what I am saying is that if you copy a lot of MB, then it will fail.. Like a memory leak or something.. once it fails, I need to exit explorer (if it didnt crash), clean up, then copy the next 2 files... etc...
also if you copy a bunch of smaller files, bmp's for example, there will be no problems. Only bigger files like movies (1GB plus)
no. I have installed ES file explorer for this reason, but for the life of me I can not get it to see the network.. so I gave up on it
