I experience some strange behaviour when playing movies with NFS with my Z10 I get the problem always with the same movies, where I get the error "can't play video" when I play them from my NFS Server. For example: Enders Game (2013).mkv Zack Snyder's Justice League.mkv Wonder Woman 1984 (2020).mkv etc etc... (all are 1:1 MKV rips from bluray) If I try to play from the file brower, and not from "Home Theater" the mkv is not even listed. If I play the same movie from the internal drive, then it plays ok. I tried with three diferent NFS servers.. TrueNAS Core (FreeBSD), Truenas Scale (Linux) and Unraid (Linux). The error is always the same, so I want to think that it's not a problem with the server but with the client? The conection between the Zidoo and the Server is Ethernet (Gigabit) Firmware is 2.3.80 but I experienced the problem with older firmwares as well Someone has an idea about what could it be? Thanks!
i am having same error but worse. i tried to copy video and run locally from my Z9S and it even not working. So it kinda not playing any type of video from any sources. Start thinking that this is a hardware issue or something
I had NFS issues If I recall it was permissions/login issues I removed everything and started over to resolve
well, so it looks like it was a problem with the permisions. I did reset the default permisions in Unraid.. changed the owner:group to nobody:users (the default in Unraid), the directory permisions to drwxrwxrwx and the file permisions to -rw-rw-rw- Now it works
My problem is UHD3000 can't find the NFS of TrueNAS-Scale, the other computer in the local-network works fine.
