Would this work on the Zidoo X1? Mini USB bluetooth receiver http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-V2-0-3M...966?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43df0ae4ee
I was thinking about bluetooth the other day. I used to own a K-R42 Rockchip RK3188 device. Earlier models like mine did not have bluetooth but later ones did and as the firmware was the same, the option to attempt to turn bluetooth on was still there. So I discovered a rather easy way to add the required elements to the box to enable bluetooth using a cheap dongle. So cheap in fact that in the UK you can get them for just £1. http://www.poundland.co.uk/signalex-usb-dongle I tested two other BT 2.0 and 2.1 generic dongles and they worked too. The potential problem here though is that there is no bluetooth option in settings on the X1 to start with. This may potentially be overcome by using an app to start bluetooth but haven't looked any further into that yet because of my overheating box.
I bought a 4.0 Bluetooth USB and was able to pair my phone with the Zidoo, BUT was unable to connect.
Bluetooth OnOff On my phone it says "connected" for a split second before immediately dropping connection on my phone. I think it has to do with my Gionee E7 which is 4.2.2. I tried another device, a bluetooth gaming controller and it WORKS
Excellent. That is a nice added bonus. I was backing up using Titanium backup last night and noticed that there were bluetooth resources in the ROM. Zidoo should add the external support to the marketing.
