Just tried out my new X6 Pro. 5.1 and 7.1 sound plays not correctly. Sounds like it missing a few bits of audio giving in a choppy effect. Pluged in my Minix 8h plus and tested 5.1 (Minix wont play 7.1) and audio is fine playing in 5.1 DTS or AC3. Again tried X6pro and still choppy. If I switch off passthru audio is ok. Using a Pioneer 10xi Receiver. All other HDMI Passthru audio works ok. Also had a few video playing audio but no video. These same files work with Minix. Any Ideas. I have switched on all options under Passthru on Kodi. Thank You.
The only setting I changed was Audio to HDMI in x6 Setup. I will look at this when I get home. Thanks.
@karl For better understand the issue can you put the file mediainfo and describe what type of passthrough the player dont Support ? PS: the more details a member describe in the issues the better the zidoo team will test and understand what needs to be fix..
I also experience "choppy" sound when I was testing my TV back-end. This was with Dolby Digital in a TS container. Streamed from my TV/Recorder back-end (DVBLink). Also playing all TV series in a MKV container with AC3 audio play "choppy" and the audio is about 475ms to soon. Adio was sync and fine playing a DTS-HD track .
Can you put a mediainfo Log of the file ? download from https://mediaarea.net/pt/MediaInfo Can you put a mediainfo Log of the file ? download from https://mediaarea.net/pt/MediaInfo Can you add a signature of your system, or provide more details and settings about your system. Example: Media source wired network > Nas Synology or Hard drive etc Source X6 etc Av receiver denon xxx/onkyo xxx / pioneer xxx etc Display TV Model xxx / Projector Model xxx Router Model xxx Settings Passthrough /downmix / 1080p /4K etc etc.. Video Media Files:ISO 3D, MKV, FLAC, TS etc etc Audio Media Files: DTS-HD ,TrueHD, DD, DTS, ATMOS, AC3,
See attachments. Pretty standard. Also own a Vidon works 100%. but slow. Current setup: Zidoo X6 --> Marantz 1605 --> SONY 3D TV All media is watched via wired network and storred on a Windows Server (SMB). Offtopic: Same SBS issues in KODI with 3D, but 3D works with the native player but no True HD audio and subs are 2D
My audio was switched "ON" for HDMI bit steam under Sound and notifications. What I will do tonight is disconnect my Minix player, which works fine, and use the same HDMI cable to test the audio on the X6, just in case its the HDMI cable and different HDMI Input. Also will supply Media Info Data on test files. The Power adapter Zidoo supplies to Australia is 110v Conector. You supplied me with a cheap adapter to Australian 240v plug. This plug wont connect, falls straight off when pluged into ac adapter. The connectors are far too loose. Can you pleased check before sending to Australia as this could be dangerous to your Aussie customers. Thank You.
Connected X6 to Sony receiver and still get Choppy sound. Not all videos. Same effect as my Pioneer receiver. Again pluged in Minix player and sound was fine. Using HDMI Audio. Reciever show DTS and AC3 working. Tonight will post mediainfo files. Does anyone else have same problem. If I switch HDMI passthu off audio plays fine.
Having same problem with TV series too with DD5.1 in MKV container : sound isn't sync and sampling doesn't go smooth, voices are like underwater! Like above I tested several files in DD5.1 and mkv container, all have the same problem....mangled sound and not sync! Kodi set to passthrough and zidoo to bitstream on a Onkyo TX-NR3008
Same goes for web-dl in DD2.0! Also daughter was watching Star Wars Revenge Of The Sith in DTS-HD and sound drops away after a while. Stopping movie and replaying helps but sound drops later again on a different part. Receiver loses the signal!
Same here , tested with the same files. Don't even get 5.1 sound (seems 2.0) but also audio is choppy, and video/audio are not in sync.
Hello. I just bought the Zidoo X6 Pro and I am totally upset with the one bug that is destroying what would be a wonderful product. Every time I switch audio with the Yamaha AV receiver, I hear a HIIISSSSSS and the ONLY way I can stop it is by disabling/reenabling Audio Options -> Passthrough. I like the product, but come on, this will damage my $3000+ speakers. Any advice? I am using the stock firmware 1.0.15. I am downloading firmware 1.0.16 Is Zidoo aware of this problem?
firmware 1.0.18 allready fixes the DD5.1 in mkv audio problem, but not the audio sync problem so we are making progress! Need to test other features still!
