Adding Genres or Folders to Playlist

Greetings to all. Just received my DMP A-6 ME and i can't figure out how to create a playlist. I would like to add a whole folder such as genre or albums to separate lists. Also, how do you prevent the player from automatically creating it's own list of genres and /or categories? Thanks to all. Happy Listening.

 

Maybe it is relevant to the genre tag of the files...?

 

I changed the genre on Windows Media Player before copying but I guess it didn't stick. Thanks.

 

I'd suggest you use a more reliable tool for handling the audio tags... try KID3 or mediainfo (command-line, extremely useful for batch conversions)

cannot you just play that folder in its entirety?
Asking, as I don't own an A6, but still can do this on my moOde Raspberry Pi...
