Hi there, can anyone confirm that a Copy of a 4K UHD BluRay is played by X9S in MKV/ISO Format incl. full resolutions, 10 bits depth and all audios ( Dolby Atmos, etc) Thx
mkv format atmos/dts-x/HDR/HEVC/10 bit etc no issues havent tried iso yet but the complete rip versions with full menus work sweet
I just got the X9S today, added an SMB (//server/4k$) and opened the Home Theater app, the movies got the posters but when I try to play any of mye 4K mkv files, it just says "can't play video". Any idea? No problem here with the same types of movies. Try copying to a USB drive and playing from there. If that works then you have an SMB issue.
im new to it too i play everything with no issues via Media Centre tab on front screen took just a little bit to get SMB working via the help section ,since i was already sharing them over network one issue ive seen is ppl have had to use a 4k rated HDMI cable,one supplied isnt the best quality(plenty on aliexpress fastest way to test file would be use a HDD direct to the usb3 port or supplied sata6 and use media centre app .select hdd on left side step thru and play also are all the settings set right and does tv support 4k /HDR / atmos etc(via reciever ? ) main reason i grabbed the x9s is my sony dolby vision hdr 4k tv wont do atmos/dts x via network media centre and my pcs 4k GPU gtx 970 can do the atmos etc but isnt HDR the x9s was like 1/3 1/4 the cost of new GPU anyways hope those ideas help some the above stats look pretty much same as all mine is playing ok
