Was looking at buying this, but looks as though although there is great support there are pretty serious issues for those who mainly want to use the box for Kodi. Not being able to install addons is pretty major.
    Is that still an issue?

    Thanks for the quick reply.
That's a shame and sorry to hear of your issues. Guess I'll avoid zidoo then.

avoid only if you use specific things which are real necessary in KODI, because "KODI" in X6 is NOT KODI, it is ZDMC - a KODI derivat with some changes, which sometimes are not compatible to specific things which are running in KODI perfect.

about 95% of the needed things are running okai somehow, but the lost 5% are very angry and takes a lot of time to get this solved

because of this i would like to install ZDMC and KODI from GOOGLE PLAY in parallel use

    see here:
    http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/new-android-folder-for-system-files.1276/

but no answer here as well ...

and they should change the folders because ZDMC is installed and NOT KODI

I have a Tronsmart s95 and seems to be on a kind of similar level to this (or it is slightly lower), but struggled for space as only 8gb emmc. Was looking at this or the Telos verios of the s95 which has 16gb. Think I;ll stick with that as Kodi runs absolutely perfectly in that.

Out of interest does SPMC work ok on this? Or are you saying that the proper Kodi is fine?
Are there any other widespread issues?

    Thank you!

Ok, so got this today and have to say I'm thoroughly unimpressed.
The remote is dire and needs 4 or 5 key presses and needs to be aimed EXACTLY at the unit.
It's way slower than the Tronsmart Vega s95.
It appears to run a customised App Store.
It takes between 30 seconds to a minute to boot.
It's now back in the box after around 30 minutes and is going back to the seller,
Hope you get your issues sorted Grummel, but it's definitely a no from me.

We're all entitled to our opinion.
    This is way overpriced.
Maybe mine was faulty, but I've seen all these faults mentioned elsewhere.
So just maybe I could he right.
Keep taking the medication nice159 ;)

As above, grow up!! Wash your potty mouth!
People can have opinions that aren't the same as yours.
This is NOT a troll post. I have both devices and the Vega (and indeed my Beelink s82 plus) both outshine this.
I may have had a faulty device, but the remote in particular was dire.

What "4 or 5 key presses"?
    X6 boot up in a 15-20 sec.
    S812? You really are funny.
    "As above" you wrote crap.

    Back in your cage, please.
Yes, 4 or 5 keypresses. Very frustrating when you are trying to type on an onscreen keyboard or adjust volume etc.,
The s905 has beaten the rk3688 on multi thread operations, despite the Rockchip allegedly being quicker. A real disappointment.
You have no respect for other's opinions and have a lot to learn in this world.
    Good bye.

You can't do that, because that folks from zidoo did not changed package name and configuration folders. So ZBMC is still visible as KODI. This is annoying. But you can run ZDMC and SPMC in parallel - SPMC is officially supported. Actually, in the future, KODI for android is going to be abandoned, SPMC will be maintained.
