Hmmm, there were some users reporting it (video shutter) in this thread: kodi latest build fixed many issues Please download the file attache to the above post and change the extension to mp4, it will show you how it's the playback.(it is my TV recorded) In that thread you will find my test results. Recap: -files are played via smb share -mx and tvdplayer are playing ok -bitrate of those is quite small, it does shutter on 720 and also 1080p. I'm connected over Ethernet cable. CPU load is also OK.. -official kodi 15.0 will play fine those file, but it if you enable pass-thru it will drop audio ever 2-3 seconds. Stereo output is fine, audio is smooth (no passthru enabled)
Can you give us a beta of 1.0.18 firmware? We will test aspect ratio. Test procedure is simple: install youtube plugin, 9gag plugin and apple trailer plugin. Test if playback is smooth, and also if aspect ration is ok. On appletrailers we have option to set 1080p and look if the playback is smooth. Then test some files, like birds test bitrate. Also http://www.demo-world.eu/download-2...kv&pic=panasonic_a_night_in_the_milky_way.jpg with this file you can check if is shuttering. Now i can see the difference because i can compare with nvidia shiled pro tv. I'm using X1 also for video playback and it's a good device. For me allwinner implementation from zidoo is the best.
