    Hi,

I've read all the good comments about X9S, I finally bought it and playing with all the features.

Instead of recording signal from HDMI IN, is it possible to record what is being played from the box, i.e. HDMI out?

If not, I am thinking of using a HDMI splitter with one output connected to the HDMI IN.

    thanks

HDMI out in HDMI in, that's a interesting idea. should work, but why you want to record your own screen ?

Easy: Streaming services of any kind for recording or time shifting! This is why KODI supports PVR add-ins.

That's exactly what I want to do. Use the box to record IPTV stream from kodi add-on. So how to do it? I'm a newbie...

You can dowload the source to watch it later for example:

Or use a PVR add-on like Nice Monkey said:
