Color Settings for 4K 23~30Hz: Priority YUV444 12BIT did not work

    Could you show me the screenshot for "Display" 7 options in your Zidoo player that is used for producing such "YUV444 12Bits"?
    I try to see if I can reproduce it. If not, maybe my Zidoo player has hardware issue.
    Interestingly, "YUV444 12Bits" works for 1080P, but not 23-30Hz 4K. HDMI2 improves 60Hz 4K source, but not 23-30Hz 4K that is the major 4K source.

    By the way, there is only one time that I select "YUV444 10Bits" for 23-30Hz 4K. The player was stuck there. I reboot the machine and
    the 23-30Hz 4K video shows "YUV444 10Bits". Since then, I have tried many times but can not get "YUV444 10Bits" any more.
    I have never gotten "YUV444 12Bits" for 23-30Hz 4K.

    what are you watching @ 60Hz 4K?
    and what title are you trying to watch @ YUV444 12Bits? (i hope not in DV)

    "It works here - this is using your EDID" --- What does this mean? Does this mean that my TV has no problem?
    If so, the problem exists in the Zidoo player, either in firmware or hardware.
    Can we try the firmware first? Is easy to re-install the system? Thanks

    if you set Display/Resolution: 3840x2160p 60Hz, Can you still get "YUV444 12Bits" for 23-30Hz 4K source?

    I finally know the reason for the issue. The setting for screen resolution is the root cause. If you set Display/Resolution: 3840x2160p 60Hz, Can you still get "YUV444 12Bits" for 23-30Hz 4K source? It seems to me that this is a firmware bug, because color setting depends on the setting of Display/Resolution, rather than the 4K source itself.
    If I set the Display/Resolution: 3840x2160p 23Hz, then I also can reproduce "YUV444 12Bits" for 23-30Hz 4K source. Wastes me severy days on this issue.

    yes, because:
    Playback/Automatic frame rate/Frame rate mode: Match frame rate (and resolution)

    That's Odd, I also set Match frame rate (and resolution), but I have to set "Display/Resolution: 3840x2160p 23Hz", then
    I can get "YUV444 12Bits" for 23-30Hz 4K source. Otherwise, I only get "YUV422 12Bits".

    Not really sure how you're getting these results but frame-rate has no bearing on colour subsampling and bit depth unless the EDID is restrictive (and yours isn't now).

    When it plays at YUV422 12bits are you sure that's not LLDV?

    But let me reiterate once again - there is no benefit in choosing 12-bit 4:4:4.
