Zidoo Neo S - Tidal MQA unfolding

as per the product description, it show that Zidoo Neo S is capable of 8x unfolding.
However, there are limited master titles in Tidal which are able to 8x unfold to 352.8kHz or 384kHz by Zidoo Neo S - ESS9068AS DAC.

In my another DAP, it is using ESS9038q2m dac, it is listed as 16x mqa unfolding.
When play the same master titles in Tidal, it is able to unfold to 352.8kHz, but the zidoo Neo S only playing at 44.1kHz.

Is anyone know why?

 

You enabled Native Audio sample-rates? Need to check I think it worked.

 

Yes, Native sampling rate is enabled in both DAC Audio and Audio

But Zidoo Neo S doesn't give me 352.8khz sampling rate, which I can get it on my dap

Yes, I've switched to internal player mode.

I play the same song from my neo s and dap

Neo s is showing mqa 48khz
Dap is showing 384khz

 

Does the AMP support it? The EDID should tell this to the player.

Yes, this is definitely playing 352.8khz in neo s,
Same for my dap.

My question was, why my dap will play all song in tidal (master) in either 352.8khz or 384khz

While the Zidoo Neo S only selectively playing some tidal (master) in 352.8khz / 384khz.

Is this because zidoo neo s is on 8x unfolding?
And my dap is on 16x unfolding?

Then there is questions arrise where my dap dac (es9038q2m) should be lower tier than Neo S (ess0068AS), and the lower grade DAC have the capabilities to unfold much more than the superior one ?
