Trying to download files (manual/firmware) for Z9S from website. Linked URL's are:

    apidl.zidoo.tv/instruction/Z9S_instruction_manual_v1.4.pdf

    apidl.zidoo.tv/Z9S/v2.3.88/ZIDOO_Z9S_N_v2.3.88_202204021407_ota-package.zip

Clicking results in connection timeout and right click/save results in 'File not found'.

Both of the links are http.

Have tried multiple browsers on Windows 10/ Linux and iOS. All produce the same results with slightly different wording.

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks is advance.

Just as an additional note this has also been sent, via email, to Zidoo support.

I posted it here as well just in case support monitor the forums (emails may not get delivered) and/or someone other than support may have a solution

    Thanks

After some more research and following every email sent to zidoo support being bounced based on content, it would appear that a setting somewhere on my network is preventing the downloads potentially due to them not being recognised as secure (http vs https)

Given that I have never had this issue before downloading files I don't intend investing time investigating this and have got around the problem by using an old tablet on 4G basically bypassing my network.

Thanks again for your quick response and suggestion.

Many thanks for the link and your prompt assistance it is very much appreciated.

As mentioned I have been able to successfully download the files direct from the Zidoo website using 4G bypassing my network.

Not sure if you have any influence over Zidoo or if they read the forum posts (all my emails are rejected for 'content') but I think it would be a good idea to move the downloads to a secured location (https) and provide SHA checksums for the files.

I tried yesterday also to download a firmware.
I guess that it is a browser problem.
With Vivaldi I could not download, with Edge I got at least the warning that the file could be dangerous and is not trustworthy.
