Is there any plans to update to a newer android version RTD1619DR (Z1000 Pro, UHD3000)

Just wondering if there is any plans to upgrade the android version in any future updates?

 

The Android version comes with the Realtek SOC/SDK and has never been updated on any generation.

So the answer is "very unlikely".

 

I sincerely hope not... It literally made the NVIDIA SHIELD useless for local playback of 4K UHD HDR files with ATMOS sound!

This box doesn't need to be a swiss army knife. There is nothing to be gained by chasing the latest ANDROID version.

My Z1000 Pro is updated to 6.4.20 and for some reason the CEC is interrupting my TV and receiver even though it's turned off on the Z1000 Pro. Is there any plans to fix that?

 

I do hope so. It is on my list.
