Maybe check your permissions on the NAS. It could be you have a different IP on the new box and you have previously allowed this IP access to you...
Have you tried connecting as anonymous (no username or password) over SMB for your shares? I do this and never have an issue with access.

I can change the aspect ratios with my PJ using lens presets and just curious if the new players do this. Do all the new players have the same...
Well in some movies the aspect ration changes from 16:9 to widescreen and I think TG Maverick is one and Mission Impossible may be another....
