Hi Since discovering that I can play SDR material in LLDV or HDR10, I have been thinking (a dangerous pastime, I know) and am wondering about the HDMI Input on my Z1000 Pro. This is probably a stupid question but if I were to connect my Blu-ray Player to the HDMI Input, would the VS10 engine do its magic and allow me to play an SDR disc through my Zidoo, allowing me to view it in say LLDV? This would save me having to rip the discs and save me massive amounts of time
Simple answer NO. It is a passthrough/pip only interface and downgrade to max 1080P with 2CH PCM non-protected input for recording.
