Today my new Zidoo arrived, and I'm already running into my first problem. I have three hard drives: two internal and one external. It shows the external one via USB 3. The two internal ones aren't. I simply removed them from the Zappiti Reference and put them into the Zidoo. They started working, but they can't be found in the menu. Formatted in exFAT (FP1) and NTFS (FP2), WD Blue When connected via my PC, both hard drives work and content is displayed. Finally, I plugged the recognized external hard drive into the Zidoo's internal drive bay. It's also not showing up or recognized. Is there a problem with the device?
In the normal course of events you bang a drive in and it just works, no rain dancing around a totem pole needed etc, so something is awry. From your description this sounds as simple as a loose SATA cable.
Thank you very much. But on both drive bays? I formatted a new SATA hard drive to NTFS. This is also not recognized. Neither in shaft 1 nor shaft 2. I spoke to the dealer on the phone and am now getting a replacement device. Kind regards and thanks again for the idea. Felix
Unlikely, but possible, or maybe the SATA controller is U/S - excellent service from the supplier though.
I always find it very nice when a thread comes to a proper conclusion after a solution. The replacement device arrived today and it immediately recognized all hard drives and is currently creating the PosterWall This new one solves the problem and I thank you again and wish you a happy Easter.
