Now that Windows 11 does not allow connecting to samba shares without smb signing... how to I enable smb signing on my X20 Pro? Where can I set a username and password? Without being able to move files from my PC to my X20 it becomes next to useless...

Beside that you must do this settings:

    https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...y-on-windows-11-and-linux-samba-shares.42727/

    1. Open the Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) on your Windows device.
    2. In the console tree, select Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > Lanman Workstation.
    3. For the setting, right-click Enable insecure guest logons and select Edit.
    4. Select Enabled > OK.
    5. Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Security Settings> Local Policies > Security Options.
    6. Set Microsoft network client: Digitally sign communications (always) to Disabled.
    7. Set Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level set to Send NTLMv2 response only/refuse LM & NTLM

I recently installed a Windows 11 Pro version 25H2 OS build 26200.7628 and tried to enable the Win10 experience with my Zidoo Z9X 8K. The Zidoo device will not appear in the Network discovery. All the above suggestions had no effect because the updated version of Win11 has strict network access controls.

The thing that did work on Windows 11 was to Map Network Drive in File Explorer. Select a drive letter. Then for the folder use \\your-Zidoo-ip-address\Share
You cannot use Browse... Enable Reconnect at sign-in, and enable Connect using different credentials. The credentials are those in the Zidoo smb setup and Win11 will add that to the Credential Manager.

You can use the drive letter you selected to access the Zidoo smb. When you are done, Disconnect the drive. If the drive is mapped and your Zidoo device is offline, it will incur a delay whilst Win11 polls the status of your Zidoo device everytime you access File Explorer, use an Open File dialogue, use a Save As dialogue, and so that it can provide the status in the dialogue window. To solve this polling issue, create a Shortcut on your desktop with \\your-Zidoo-ip-address\Share as the location of the item. Test that this shortcut works. It should work if your credentials are correct. Then right-click the created Shortcut and select Pin to Quick Access.
