I suspect I am not alone in that I often use my Eversolo while working at my PC. As best as I can tell there is not a full version of the Eversolo control app available for windows. There is, however, a Windows USB driver which allows the eversolo to be used as a windows audio device via its USb B connection. It is a bit odd that we have a USB driver but not the ability to manage the library and playback on the device itself. Can I ask Eversolo- is a windows version of the app in development? Is there ever likely to be one? I would very much like not to have to use an android emulator, and to be honest that shouldn’t be necessary given the cost of these units.
That is something I would really appreciate, because I´m also working at my PC the entire day. So let´s control the Eversolo from PC. My dream streamer would actually be an A-6, but... - without a DAC, which I don´t need - with the ability to stream Atmos, 360 reality audio and Auro CX (which will come sooner or later and I don´t want to buy another streamer then) - the ability to output the UI to a TV (but please also keep the design and touchscreen of the A-6)
McBluna - I am a bit confused, is that a windows app to link to a smartphone? I cant find it on the microsoft store if it is. I know there is general "link to your phone" stuff in windows but didnt think that extended as far as being able to see and run your phone apps on your PC. I had always thought you needed an Android emulator for that.
So I have paired my Iphone7 to my PC with the phone link application, but it only lets me see calls and notifcations, it doesnt let me use the apps on my iphone.
EVERSOLO A8 WORKING VERY WELL WITH WINDOWS 11 Having successfully paired my windows 11 laptop with the A8, I installed the Bluestacks App Player Android Emulator. From there I installed the Eversolo app (from the Android store within Bluestacks, not the Bluestacks store). The UI is great and I guess similar to what you get using an Android tablet. Anyway it is way easier to use than my Android phone. This is my first experience of using an Android emulator. Looking at task manager, the resource usage does not seem a excessive.
There used to be a pure Windows app to control the playback on the streamer. It even had a local copy of the database, enabling fast search and filtering, as well as M3U playlists. However, the feedback and interest in such features were discouragingly low.
