Hi all, I was Googling VS10 the other day and this product popped up, it has a very similar interface to my Z9X. Is it a knock off? The website seems to have good info.
No, it's a small French company that was resurrected from the dying embers of Zappiti as it fell into compulsory liquidation. They use the same OEMs as Dune for their hardware/OS layer (Zidoo manufacture and program their own kit). Nothing inherently wrong with that but I'm not sure I'd put my trust in such a company especially when the software is cloud based. Caveat emptor.
Sonos ticked off their customer based by sending everything through the cloud. I saw this player and notice the "Pro" version is coming out in October. Having to create an account to watch my local library is a turn off. And I didn't care that the settings looked just like the DuneHD UI.
yep cloud based means charging for the software or if they go down the toilet your system new name is "Brick"
