Open-source code for automating MKV metadata gathering, metadata updates, and file organization

I thought about posting this in the Development forum, but that seems more oriented toward development of software for the Zidoo hardware itself, not something like my code here, which is about organizing, inventorying, updating a collection of MKV videos.

I should point out that this is just slapped-together code built around my own quirky way of organizing my video library. I'd like to hope, however, that there are some useful ideas and techniques that other people can extract from this code.
