I know that there is a way to do this but for the life of me, Google is not turning up anything. I've migrated my entire library from various external drives into a single computer running a Jellyfin server. My son has set the samba share to point to a single drive folder with 9 folders within for the various drives full of movies. Files containing various A/V test videos are being scraped and are showing up on my posterwall as movies (MAGENTA- the lost years, GREY SCALE - the motion pictures etc).. What is the IGNORE file or file extension needed to be included so that this doesn't happen?
I can’t remember all the details but what I can follows! Go to sources Find the folder containing the file menu buttons shows Remove from poster wall or something like that.
You can either set ignore words in "Ignore folders & file names with specific characters when scanning" in Preferences: Or, probably the neatest way is put all those files in one root folder and use the "Folder Filtering" when scanning (obviously you can have and ignore as many folders as you like, but it's easier if there's just one):
Ok so I believe my son has placed a file named .ignore in setting up the Jellyfin server in order for it not to pull these files into it's posterwall. I guess I can go into the setup and have it ignore folders with this extension.. I'm happy that there is a Jellyfin client for the ZIDOO, but HT5 is absolutely perfect for me...
