I have had the DMP A-10 for two weeks and I am very satisfied with what it offers in terms of functions and its sound reproduction. Unfortunately, I encounter several problems processing files saved in my Synology, at least from the Eversolo application while it works perfectly with the MConnect application under DLNA protocol. Could I be doing something wrong? In the Files folder, I activate SMB, then Depht scan. This operation lasts between 30 seconds and a minute. Then the Squeeze button appears which I press and the different folders located in Synology appear. I activate the music folder. And before it opens, it takes a good minute. And then the different folders and their contents appear. Search by category is very limited. With the MConnect application everything is instantaneous and there are multiple search keys. And finally, it's as if Eversolo was carrying out a transcoding because the files are read in M4A whereas with MConnect, the original encoding is respected (ALAC in this case). When it comes to FLAC, AIIF or WAV encodings, Eversolo control restores the original encoding. Finally, if I perform a search from the music tab, a library is present, these are my files but are they those contained in the Synology? Some albums are present, and for other groups this message appears: There is currently no data. In short, you will have understood it. I would like to solve these problems and this puzzle. I would like to point out that I followed the settings recommended by Eversolo for Synology. Thank you for your support
I also have A10 and Synology NAS as music server. Synology NAS is located 50 miles away from A10. Synology SMP setup is completely followed the user manual for A6/A10. I don’t encounter any problem except a few times music play will stop because of net connection problem. Scanning through SMB is definitely quicker than A6. I used Eversolo App in iPad for A10 and it still is the best part of user experience/interface in Eversolo. My suggestion is you should check out the SMP setup in Synology and Net connection.
What I find completely unnecessary is the requirement for write permissions when using SMB/NFS. I've followed the instructions, and it doesn't seem to work for me at all without providing write permissions.
