    Hi all,
My first post here. I purchased a dmp a6 few days ago. Today I tried to connect my iPhone via usb-c with lightning cable but nothing happened. A6 didn’t detect it at all. I selected the input as usb c. Not even the charging came on. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Don’t know if I have to do anything in the settings.
    Many thanks

The usb-c input on your A6 is for USB Audio coming from your peripheral, not a general purpose connection. So your phone must be actually outputting usb audio for it to be seen.

    That makes sense.

Yes, but on the manual it says that a mobile phone can be connected to A6 via usb c port. I also have a old iPod classic which I need hard wired connection for. If I can’t use the usb c port for input then it makes my iPod redundant which would be a big shame!

I think they meant that you can stream audio over usbc from your phone. You can connect devices via the USB-A OTG port in a more general way, this will allow you to access files on those devices and play them from the A6. There is a setting governing how this will work on the OTG port, you choose between mass storage device and general PC connection depending on what you want to do.
