I am currently using an Apple superdrive with my A10 via the USB connection. It works great, but it would be nice to have something more substantial for a permanent setup that isn't so easily pushed around. Has anyone found a component sized CD player with a usb interface that works with Eversolo?

Shanling CR60 CD might be the answer but I haven’t try it and can not confirm it.

Thanks! That looks promising. I'm using an Apple Superdrive currently which works well. However, I'd like something a little more substantial that doesn't get pushed around when I'm inserting CDs...

Another possibility might be the Shanling ET3 CD Transport, it has a USB audio output among other digital outputs and can upsample on some of them (but not USB). Drawback would be cost but a very nice device which I use for CD playback usually directly into a DAC.

Both CR60 and ET3 might not used as ripper to A6,8,10, according to many users reported in websites.

I assumed the post was about cd playback rather than ripping.

No, I was looking for something for ripping. I have a number of cd players that could use the A10 as a dac for playback.

Hello everyone, just wondering if anyone was fortunate enough to use or try the Shanling Et-3 , using the Eversolo A8 or A6, I am aware that all the glory of this transport lies in it’s I2s connection. However, just looking for a unbiased opinion, connecting it to the A8
Using One of the other outputs that are provided on the ET -3 .

This would absolutely be definitely seem somewhat redundant as per already incorporating the A8, as part of my overall two channel, only Stereo rig.

curious if the CD playback quality and output of the ET -3, using the other choice of inputs on the A8
Other than using the I2s would have any beneficial gain other than using my basic transport that is already hooked up and playing through the A8’s internal Dac

My interest only lies due to the fact of having approximately very close to a 1000, Thousand CDs that were purchased throughout the years in which all are in excellent condition and we’re always housed properly in a controlled climate environment

I went through quite a few CDs that were well over decades old, and everyone played without problem I picked out approximately at random 15 or 20 CDs out of this lot that haven’t been played in years through my existing transport into the A8 no problems, have a few external DAC’s but none with I2s inputs , here’s a good laugh. I have 2 DACS I still run fire wire, cat cable , they sound Real good.

I was wondering if this combination would be to any avail other than what is already in use as a CD
Only spinner, if anyone has any knowledge on that particular hook up, what was your overall opinion

Seeking information from someone that actually has
Tried the combination or seen actual use. We all know what the literature states. To me where my actual answer would lie is purchase one hook it up and see how it works out But however, I am trying not to go that route , Thank you all in advance , everyone good luck and enjoy your audio systems,
