    Gotcha. Didn't realize this has been a thing as long as that. Does seem like a missed opportunity in the space, but maybe they see their value...

    I'm waiting to see if the DMP a8 Gen 2 is dropping soon, but what Eversolo has yet to do that would be exactly what I'm after is just a streamer...

    Thanks for the response, although the responses seem contradictory ("can't do that was the first response, but can still use it as Pre in the 2nd)...

    So is the thought once you go Coax out to an external DAC, you then need a separate preamp —-> amp?

    So is it correct to say that if I wanted to use the DMP A10 as the streaming source, feed it OUT the Coax SPDIF, into an external DAC, then back...
