Zidoo X1 youtube is not working

I installed youtube application from play store, when open application i see first page with videos but whatever video i try to play i get an error message on the screen saying: "An error occurred, please try again later. Learn more" with a black background.

Is there a problem with the application or zidoo? What can i do to fix it?

 

Don't have this problem myself.

I do find that even 720p playback is not as it should be and use the Kodi addon, which is better.

 

I've been struggling to get YouTube to work right and completely forgot there was an addon in Kodi. Thanks for the reminder.

 

You mean youtube application is working to you without installing anything extra?
After i set up media box, i created a google account for play store and installed youtube application, nothing else
Youtube is not playing any video.
I tried from the stock browser that came with the box, going to m.youtube.com and same issue.
I installed chrome browser, it gets to play video but only sound is heard and no video shown
Is is possible to be defect of the box?

 

I have had no issues with playing videos from Youtube, save for some micro stutters with 720p.

Other than that, it plays everything.

Are you on the latest ROM?

Does the normal youtube application from play store works in your box?

 

Do you use youtube application downloaded form google play store?

 

It was a version restored from a Titanium Backup from another device.

I always backup key apps using this process and it ensures installation across the board and makes things so much quicker.

 

So is probably with the latest youtube application to be the problem, can you tell me what is the version of the youtube application you are using? I can try to download it and give a try

been away due to holidays, just yesterday had time to test..

downloaded youtube from from dropbox link but again facing the same problem...

Just to mention youtube through KODI add on works

 

For youtube you can play from kodi,
or you can install youtube tv.

But firstly I think you need to undate Youtube apps and the addon in Kodi.to the latest version to ensure compatibility.
