For some reason on my DMP-A6 I'm unable to heart/like tracks on Qobuz. The functionality is there using my phone of course, but not on the A6. Any ideas?
There are two main reasons why this could be: 1. the devs have first of all focused on the listening API, and forgot/left out the LIKE 2. the API Qobuz gave them did not include all the bells and whistles of their App (there are cases of access restrictions, like for downloading tracks locally, for example) Better send an email to the support at Eversolo, as the devs are not constantly watching these unofficial threads.
It’s called favourites… three dots top right for the album and three dots to the right of each track…
True. Just making sure we are on the same page. And of course this is iPad… Sometimes it takes a little time before the favourites show up on the list… Filtering by ‘Added’ should show the latest albums that were made favourites…
Well, thanks for the tips but that's not exactly what I was talking about. I didn't call them "favorites" because it doesn't behave like Qobuz favorites on a phone or pc. In those instances, it places a heart you can tap on the artist, album, or track directly. Instead, with the A6, it just dumps all the favorites of all artists into one page requiring you to scroll endlessly to find one. All tracks from all artists favorited are dumped together. So, for instance, if I'm trying to find a given song by Duke Ellington or some other prolific artist, I don't have to scroll through (literally) 80 years of tracks. As it was on my phone, I could select the artist, then album, then see the tracks I had previously "favorited". I was using an Android phone and as I understand, the A6 is built on Android, so it shouldn't be that difficult I'd think.
Well, I would like it to be more like the original apps as well, but that might be difficult to do, since Eversolo (like all other companies) have to find one setup that works for both Qobuz, Tidal, HIGHRESAUDIO, Amazon Music and so on. They will probably not make a different user interface for each streaming service. The internal player works a bit like you say by having a ‘heart’ and having a list of liked artists, albums and tracks. But again this is iPad which is different from their Android apps…
Well, we can only hope that it'll happen. The clickable "heart" icon is there at the artist level and album level, just not at the track level when you have the track list pulled up. And when playing tracks on local files the clickable "heart" is there. And of course the details as well as the music come from Qobuz. So it feels more like a glitch. Its been too long to be an oversight.
