Just got my z9x 8k, and I'm finding it impossible to connect to my file server, using any protocol with the built-in media player. I was able to install Kodi and it works fine, but I'm curious what exactly I need to do to connect the Z9X's built-in media player to my file server. I have enabled SMB1, NetBIOS, NTLM authentication, moved the server to the same subnet, etc. Literally everything else I try to connect to the server is able to do so at this point, so I'm entirely unsure what, I need to do, lol! To be clear, I am attempting to use NFS, or SMB, or DAV, and I really don't care which. I would greatly appreciate any help with this, as it's far harder to use than I would have hoped...
Hi. You click into "Media Center - File Manager", then move to SMB (Device List column on the left), let it scan your local network and once it has found shared hosts login with the username and password you have set and you're in. That's all... it's very easy.
As help, you may take a look to this thread: http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/zidoo-8k-media-players-faq.98814/ and read section 3.
