I have a cd drive connected to the Eversolo, but when I am trying to Rip a cd, I only get track 01, track 02 etc. No metadata or tags is retreived.
Does anyone know if this is supposed to be like this.
If I go to my computer and Rip via Windows media player there is no problem.

This is a common problem. First off: the DMP-A6 uses a source for CD data collection (unknown which one) which leaves a lot to be desired. Simply put, it doesn't find any info on many discs. I wish it offered a better source, or the ultimate: a possibility for the user to choose from more than one source for every CD you rip.

Try with a couple more albums, and see if it recognizes any of them.

And a second problem with CD ripping on the DMP-A6 is that when it does find data about the disc you're ripping, it totally ignores the "Artist" meta data field(!!!). It doesn't write anything to this field. I certainly hope they will fix this huge bug in a forthcoming firmware version.

Well! It looks like the ripping funktion on the Eversolo is a "No Go".
Hopefully this will be fixed in a future firmware???

    Thanks for clearing that up.

Simply do not bother, dbpoweramp will do it faster and you can also specify how the tracks are named. (You need a computer though)

When ripping on the A6 the numbering of the track is not saved to the filename. Thats the first problem.
Further more with dbpoweramp you can batch ripping, and just have to feed in CDs. It suppots accurate rip and you can check later if there are bad tracks.
In my case there werere almost none, and in the few cases I had, the CD was actually visibly damaged.

The biggest benefit of using a computer is the data savety. With the A6 is is very easy to delete a whole folder with data or even to format the drive, just with 2 wrong clicks on the tiny display.

Dbpoweramp is now installed, and you are right. This is the way to go.
I'll forget all about ripping on Eversolo.
    Thanks!
