Hi! I am experiencing audible distortion when I connect the dmp a6 to my amplifier with balanced xlr output from the solo.
    Anyone else experiencing this?
    Best regards.

YES. I'm using RCA output and since I updated the original firmware (1.30) I experience annoying and clear distortion in the analog outputs.

Connecting an external USB DAC (iFi xDSD Gryphon) the sound is clear and crisp, but using the internal Eversolo DAC is terrible.

Repeat: with the original firmware, this did not happen.

After some tips on facebook, I decreased the output volume on the xlr’s with -5db. Seems to work fine with the onboard dac in the Eversolo now

Interesting, I can't find an option to do this on mine on the latest FW version.

Ah, thanks. Is that alongside volume pass through as you are using analogue out to another device?

I turned off «fixed volume», analogue out to a Hegel integrated amplifier.

So you are using the volume control on the DMP?

Yes, but I am using roon, so I turned off «fixed volume», then decreased the output in roon with -6db

I do not know of this is an optimal solution though. Maybe there will an firmware fix on this issue?

it`s simple. input stage of your amp is not able to take max voltage from A6 outputs. XLRs are 6V, this is a lot and might be too much for non-professional equipment.

Another way is to lower input sensivity of your amp.
