Using 4G USB modem with the X9

Hi,

i would like to use Huawei E8372 modem with the X9 box but it seems the box doesnt recognize it.
i didnt see under /dev/ any new tty* device.
Looking at lsusb - i see that the system can see the new device
VID= 12d1
PID= 1f01

Can you help on that?

This device is suitable for windows and some Mac OS.
Therefore the driver is probably missing.
May be there is an app in google play store ?

On other Android box i managed to use it with the following app:

However, it was discovered under /dev/tty*

On the Zidoo, it doesnt discovered as a tty device.

I also tried many apps with my E3372 but without success. Maybe X9 is missing huawei_cdc_ncm and/or usbserial driver.

Zidoo team, could you please add these in next update?

 

ZIdoo team - maybe you also share ppp official files (maybe as apk) to allow it within the UI of "settings"?
