hi, just getting a bit annoyed about the x6 pro led: while on, the blue led distracts from the screen when on standby, the red led is so bright i can't sleep is there a way to dim the led? or even maybe turn it off completely? cheers
Small piece of back tape Clear tape(sticky tape) and a ink marking pen(permanent marker) Cover LED only not complete window.
hey guys, thanks for the ideas .. but @user59: the led is so strong.. it shines around -> this is not a good solution @spring: of course it is off, when the device is powered off.. but this is no help while ON or on STANDBY .. -> this is not a good solution a proper solution would be good.. but i am open to more ideas.
Be happy it is bright. I've had other players so dim, you can't even tell if the player is on... #fail
Black completely cover, not visible to the ON state. I have used blue pvc electric tape, visible tiny blue light. http://www.duckbrand.com/products/duck-tape/colors/standard-rolls/blue-188-in-x-20-yd
hi @Leoben do you have it taped only over the LED or over the whole "bit"? what i am trying to say: i would like it symmetric but not reducing the remote control's reception (even more) in general: seams that there are more people being annoyed about this LED.. @zidoo what about developping an LED setting?
ja, because this is asymmetric, not covering the left bit .. - this is my temporary solution i already mentioned i have - and this looks stupid
yes it is anoying only have two solutions: 1. cover - then the pretty device is looking like a peace of sh... 2. nothing - led is blending it should be easy to do it via firmware - others can do it as well so set it in blue and red - so you can dim it too! if you do it halb bright it is more than okai
Hi: we have only two pin to control the red/blue on/off function, can could not to control the current of led.
Well of the led is controlled via a gpio pin on the CPU you can use pulse width modulation to dim the led. In other terms turn it off and on in different ratios creating diming this is very easy to do and it very common method of dimming led's
It's a very common method I use it on all my products I design to save battery but also to make sure all led brightness is the same on all leds
