    Hi all,

I'm a new owner of X9S. Unfortunately I face big problem with connection to my Qnap nas with NFS.
    With SMB is fine.

I can see the folders but I can't go "deeper".

I have setup admin rights read/write the guest have Full Access.
At NFS settings, I have Read Only and * (asterisk) at the window below. Asterisk means that ALL devices have access to this NFS folder.
Very straight forward setup, not many users.
    Just admin.

I have no problem so many years with Dune media players.

Could you please post some pictures with the correct settings from Qnap?

    Thanks in advance.

SMB/samba is faster and better chiose for playback video, you not need NFS.

As far as I know NFS is faster. Am I wrong?

is better for file operation(copy/paste, iscsi ....) , SMB is better for streaming file .....

OK. apart from that, I can't understand what is wrong. It supposed that zidoo supports NFS as well. I am reading there is no problem with Synology.

Yes, NFS is faster on Dune player, but on Zidoo Samba is faster than NFS.
I use only Samba with Qnap.

    I strongly disagree.

Out of sudden, NFS worked EXCELLENT yesterday. I didn't change anything on my Qnap. I really can't understand what was happened.
For your info, with SMB I had stutters on one 3D ISO movie (Under the Sea 3D documentary). With NFS run SMOOTHLY! That's why I was desperately wanted NFS.
I suspect there is one more bug on zidoo's software.

Once again NFS proved better and faster even for streaming. Period.

I'm very curious to check today if it still works.....

This is caused by rights on QNAP NFS server not set up correctly. On my Ubuntu16.04 I have the same problem except after I added two options to nfs server configuration file: all_squash, insecure.

I am not a QNAP user, you should find your QNAP NFS server configuration file, and add above options. Beware that using these two option is not recommended for security reason. but for me, this is not so important.
